Regenerative Cellular Medicine
Regenerative cellular medicine can treat many conditions such as pain due to osteoarthritis, tendinopathy/tendonitis, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, neuropathy, fractures, muscle injuries, ligament and tendon injuries, COPD, peripheral neuropathy, sexual dysfunction, autoimmune conditions, heart disease, and many more.
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are renowned for their ability to heal by turning into specific tissue types but mostly through their ability to communicate with tissue via paracrine signaling. Where they basically tell tissue to regenerate and heal through a cascade of biochemical processes. These cells are like little “farmacies” that secrete natural medicines (exosomes, growth factors, cytokines…), decreasing inflammation, healing tissue, regulating the immune system and decreasing pain.
There are many ways one can utilize regenerative medicine, with the goal being to provide the damaged body part with an abundance of MSCs, growth factors, proteins, and other healing biological material. A doctor can extract bone marrow or fat from the patient to be processed and used in the patient. However over time a person’s own stem cells decline in number and how well they work. Another way to utilize regenerative medicine is to get the material from a fresh young source like the umbilical cord after a birth. This tissue is called Wharton’s Jelly and is rich with MSCs and other anti-inflammatory and regenerative material.
We only use MSCs from umbilical cord tissue, the MSCs used comes from healthy mommas and babies. The umbilical cord is screened for communicable diseases and processed to develop the final product rich with MSCs, growth factors and many more amazing healing ingredients. We also utilize exosomes derived from MSCs. These exosomes are how stem cells communicate with and heal surrounding cells.
The manufacturing lab where our stem cells and exosomes come from is FDA registered. Our stem cells are regulated solely under section 361 of the Public Health Service Act and 21 CFR Part 1271. The exemption criteria is set out in 21 CFR1271.10(a). We DO NOT use embryonic stem cells from aborted fetuses.
Regenerative medicine can treat many conditions such as pain due to osteoarthritis, tendinopathy/tendonitis, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, neuropathy, fractures, muscle injuries, ligament and tendon injuries, COPD, peripheral neuropathy, sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction/ED), autoimmune conditions, heart disease, and many more. We do NOT treat cancer with regenerative medicine.
Anyone with chronic back, knee, shoulder, or other joint pain should consider Stem cells and PRP as a treatment option before surgery.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is a form of prolotherapy. PRP is done by drawing a small amount of the the patient’s blood and processing it to extract the plasma portion of the blood. This plasma is rich with platelets (hence the name) which are healing cells of our body that secrete an abundance of growth factors for healing tissue.
Prolotherapy (Proliferative Therapy), also know as Non-Surgical Ligament and Tendon Reconstruction and Regenerative Joint Injection, is a recognized orthopedic procedure that stimulates the body’s healing processes to strengthen and repair injured and painful joints and connective tissue.
The mild inflammatory response which is created by the injection encourages growth of new, normal ligament or tendon fibers, resulting in a tightening of the weakened structure. Additional treatments repeat this process, allowing a gradual buildup of tissue to restore the original strength to the area.
The term “Prolotherapy” is used when there’s a therapy that injects a proliferative substance in order to heal or grow more tissues. Stem cell medicine and Platelet Rich Plasma are two of the most successful therapies for healing tissue in the body.
Common sights for prolotherapy injection include knee, shoulder, elbow, low back, neck, hips, ankles, wrists, and TMJ.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is the replacement and optimization of hormone levels in your body. BHRT is different, and superior, to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as it utilizes bioidentical hormones as opposed to synthetic hormones in HRT.
There has been bad publicity with hormones in the past that should not be applied to BHRT. Research using synthetic hormones, such as the Woman’s Health Initiative, Million Woman Study, and many more have shown synthetic hormones can promote cancer and diseases. BHRT is safe when used appropriately.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Microneedling
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) microneedling is a procedure that encourages collagen growth, decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and gives a youthful look to the skin. During the procedure PRP is drawn from a blood sample, mixed with hyaluronic acid and introduced to the newly made micro channels in the skin.
This is a highly sought after procedure which leaves your face looking youthful.
The effects of microneedling combined with stem cells, exosomes, and PRP can have dramatic effects on aging skin.
Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine that has been practiced for at least 2,500 years. Acupuncture is the insertion of fine sterile needles into specific sites on the body to to promote the natural self-healing process and improve body function. Energy, called “qi” (pronounced “chee”) flows through pathways in our body.
With imbalance comes pain, lack of function, and/or illness. Western science still doesn’t completely understand how acupuncture works, however modern research shows acupuncture effects the nervous, endocrine, immune, cardiovascular, and digestive systems, all of which restores balance and harmonizes our health.
Botanical medicine, also known as herbal medicine, is the use of plants seeds, berries, roots, leaves, plant’s seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark, or flowers for medicinal purposes. Herbalism has a long tradition of use outside conventional medicine. The benefit to using botanical medicines is that they offer a more complete and balanced healing potential.
Botanical medicine has fewer side effects than most pharmaceutical drugs. It is becoming more mainstream as improvements in analysis and quality control, and clinical research shows the value of herbal medicine in treating and preventing disease. Plants have been used for medicinal purposes long before recorded history. Ancient Chinese and Egyptian papyrus writings describe medicinal uses for plants as early as 3,000 BC.
We utilize thousands of years of research in Chinese and Western herbal medicine to come up with the appropriate medicine for your issues.
Nutritional medicine uses a whole-foods and nutritional supplements approach for the prevention and treatment of multiple conditions. Naturopathic doctors receive extensive training in assessing and educating patients on how nutritional deficiencies, food intolerances, and dietary imbalances impact our health. Nutrition is the foundation of our health and cornerstone of any treatment plan.
Our approach can be used not only to lose weight, but to help build lean muscle, decrease inflammation, eliminate allergens, and prevent chronic diseases. In certain people the use alone of specific nutrition plans have reversed type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and autoimmune disease symptoms.
Intravenous (IV) Therapy is the infusion of high-doses of vitamins, minerals, and/or other supplements and medications directly into your blood stream. When we take vitamins orally we only digest and absorb a limited amount. IV therapy is effective since you can get higher amounts of vitamins and minerals into your body through an IV than you can get by taken them orally.
Ozone IV therapy is a procedure where oxygen is increased in the body through the introduction of ozone molecules into the blood. This increases your bodies immune system, red blood cell production, is directly antimicrobial, increases your antioxidant system, and increases your cells energy production.
Naturopathic Manipulation Therapy
Naturopathic manipulative treatment (NMT) is treatment by naturopathic physicians using manual and other mechanical means for all body tissues and structures. NMT places its chief emphasis on the relationship between structural integrity and health. The body is endowed with the means of sustaining optimum health, but this may be disrupted by structural misalignments.
