Success Stories
See what our patients say about our orthopedic and sports injury stem cell therapy:
“I thought it was a placebo effect at first. But within a few weeks, I was sleeping without pain, I have about 70% of motion back and I’m getting more and more active each week. In total, I’m about 80% pain-free. The treatment saved my career.”
– Bill R., Phoenix, AZ
“I was in stage 4 kidney disease, lung disease, and heart failure. I was told my only option was a heart transplant. But I was too old and I didn’t want to go through with a heart transplant. After stem cell treatment my kidney disease went from stage 4 to stage 3, my lung function improved from 54% to 75%, and my ejection fraction of my heart improved dramatically. Before I was barely able to get out of bed… now I’m going traveling through Europe soon.”
– Ted M., Phoenix, AZ
“I had extreme pain in both knees, toes, and my thumb… my only option was surgery and I wanted an alternative so I could play with my grandkids. I didn’t want the recovery and downtime with the surgery. I had both my knees done and IV treatments with regenerative stem cell medicine. I don’t have any pain in my toes…I have no pain in my knees…I can play with my grandkids, go up and down hills… I’m back golfing 18 holes. I was at an 8/10 pain and now I have zero pain…no pain in the mornings, waking me up.”
– Deb S., Phoenix, AZ
“Our son was diagnosed with autism at 18 months old. We’ve been doing treatments for a year now, he’s conversing, recognizes others, is more social, is learning better… whereas before he used to have a huge meltdown. Stem cell treatment has been really life-changing for us.”

Stem Cell Legality
Currently, no federal law does or ever did ban stem cell research or use in the United States. While stem cells aren’t FDA approved for the majority of conditions, the FDA has absolutely no jurisdiction over physicians and clinics. A physician’s activity is governed by state law and is largely left to the independent medical judgment of the practitioner and their state medical board. Federal case law has positively established that the FDA has no jurisdiction when stem cells are not manipulated or altered.
Innate Healthcare Institute also does not make any public claims or advertise that its stem cell protocols will cure a particular condition. It looks at patients on a case-by-case basis and determines if a stem cell protocol may be effective for a particular patient.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What are stem cells?
Stem cells are effectively the raw material for the human body. These are the cells from which all other cells with their specialized functions come from. Under the right conditions within the body, stem cells can divide to form more cells that are called daughter cells.
These daughter cells can either become specialized cells through differentiation and have a more specific function, or become new stem cells through self-renewal. No other cells in the body have the natural ability to generate new types of cells.
What are Mesenchymal Stem Cells?
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are a type of stem cell that can self-renew by dividing and can differentiate and change into a wide range of specialized cells with specific functions, including bone, cartilage, adipose tissue, connective tissue, and muscle.
These stem cells are found throughout tissue in our bodies. Due to their unique properties, MSCs have the potential to heal damaged bone, cartilage, tendon, tissue and reduce inflammation by modulating the immune system, changing into different types of tissue cells, and by signaling the surrounding cells to heal and grow.
What is stem cell therapy?
When stem cells have the right conditions, they can develop into other types of cells through differentiation. Stem cell therapy involves providing a high concentration of stem cells directly to a diseased or damaged part of the body to instill the healing effect that these cells can have on the human body.
Through the right delivery methods, stem cell therapy can stimulate your body’s own regenerative process to develop new and healthy tissue at the targeted site. While the human body has its own share of stem cells, stem cell therapy involves administering stem cells from a donor who is healthier and has younger stem cells to have a greater impact in terms of repairing and healing damaged parts of the body.
What kind of regenerative medicine products does Innate Healthcare use?
Stem cells and exosomes:
We use umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) from umbilical cord tissue (sometimes referred to as Wharton’s Jelly (WJ)). the gelatinous layer found within the umbilical cord, which is obtained from healthy, consenting donors who are under the age of 28 and undergoing a scheduled c-section. The FDA strictly regulates the process of how these tissues are acquired, tested, processed and stored to ensure the highest level of patient safety. The exosomes are derived from MSCs from the WJ. All processing is done in a clinical-grade laboratory by highly trained professionals.
All recovery, processing, labeling and distribution is in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Tissue Practices (cGTP), established by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA). The product is prepared aseptically and supplied sterile. We have never had an incident of contamination or severe adverse events.
Our stem cells are for the intended use of licensed physicians and exculsive to patients of Innate Healthcare Institute, and are not for sale or to be distributed commercially.
The UC-MSCs come from donated umbilical cords that meet eligibility determined for for donors of human cells, tissues, and cellular and tissue-based products, as defined in US FDA requirements for Human Cellular and Tissue based Products (HCT/P), 21 CFR 1271, State regulations and guidelines of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and AABB. This medicine is used at the discretion of a licensed health care person for a therapeutic purpose deemed necessary by that licensed healthcare professional.
The use of UC-MSCs, exosomes, and any related biological products are NOT approved by the FDA for the intended purpose to heal or cure a disease or condition. For FDA approved drugs or surgeries intended to medically help you please consult your physician for options.
Platelet-Rich Plasma:
Platelet-Rich Plasma, PRP for short, is a regenerative procedure for joint pain, nerve pain, and can be used aesthetically. The procedure involves drawing typically 10-30n milliliters of the patients blood (About 1-2 tablespoons). Anticoagulant is added to the blood and it is spun in a centrifuge at a specific speed and time. During this process the red blood cells are separated from the the plasma portion of the whole blood and the platelets are concentrated. These concentrated platelets are then used for the treatment due to their innate healing abilities. Platelets provide the essential growth factors FGF, PDGF, TGF-ß, EGF, VEGF, and IGF that are involved in stem cell migration, differentiation and proliferation. The plasma is essential for cell survival as it contains nutrients, vitamins, hormones, electrolytes and proteins. Proteins are key molecules for the coagulation process and the formation of the fibrin polymer that will serve as a scaffold for cell migration, differentiation and proliferation.
While PRP can have a dozen or more growth factors the umbilical cord tissue/WJ can contain over 80 growth factors as well as an extensive amount of cytokines, mRNA, exosomes, secretomes and additional biologic elements including stem cells.
How are stem cells administered for the treatment?
There are several possible methods to administer stem cells to the body for treatment. At Innate Healthcare, we administer stem cells for stem therapy through various methods, depending on each patient’s unique requirements and physical condition.
Intravenous (IV)
Using IVs is the safest and simplest method for delivering stem cells throughout the body. There is no need to use anesthesia, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to administer stem cells to the body through IVs.
Intramuscular (IM)
This method to administer stem cells involves directly injecting the stem cells into the affected muscle. Intramuscular implantation is also a safe method that does not require anesthesia.
Intrathecal
Intrathecal administration (or lumbar puncture) involves injecting stem cells directly into the spinal fluid past the blood-brain barrier. This allows the stem cells to reach the brain and spinal cord. An experienced anesthesiologist injects stem cells into the spinal canal via the lower vertebrae using local anesthesia to numb the pain.
Intranasal
Stem cells can also be administered in the form of a mist through the nose as a non-invasive method for stem cells to reach the brain.
Hand-held Nebulizer
Stem cells can also be breathed in to treat the lungs through a hand-held nebulizer.
Direct Injection
Stem cells are also administered directly to the hairline via injection or to the face for aesthetics. It can also be applied topically to achieve the same goal, depending on the condition and requirement for the patient.
How much does stem cell therapy cost?
The procedure for stem cell therapy can vary in cost based on what needs to be treated and how long the treatment will go on. The procedures at Innate Healthcare can range in cost from $4,000 to $20,000.
We would like to make note that we administer doses that are three to five times higher than most clinics offering stem cell therapy, and for much less than what other clinics charge. We compared our costs to other stem cell therapy clinics in Phoenix, AZ, the country, and overseas and found our rates to be $10,000 less, on average, than most clinics offering similar or lesser treatments.
Additionally, our treatments encompass a more well-rounded approach to recovery than simply administering stem cells.
We also offer financing options with Advance Care.
Are umbilical cord tissue cells safe for me?
Yes. The body’s immune system does not consider umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) as a foreign threat. It means that there is no chance for your body to reject the stem cells we administer during the treatment. We have successfully administered stem cells for treating a wide range of health conditions without any instances of rejection.
The high-quality UC-MSCs we use at Innate Healthcare for stem cell therapy in Phoenix, AZ, are also more efficient at differentiating and self-renewal than older stem cells that already exist in your body.
What are the side effects of stem cell therapy?
Adverse reactions are very rare in umbilical cord stem cell therapy overall, especially when administered properly by experienced physicians.
Mild reactions can happen, and in our experience these are mild, transient and last for only a few minutes. The majority of significant side effects reported from other clinics have come from improper use or inexperienced practitioners administering cells.
Some of the side effects we’ve seen over the years include (These have occurred in less than 1% of patients):
• Bruising/mild pain/discoloration at injection site
• Mild rash at injection site
• Palpitations
• Mild headaches
• Low grade fever
• Lightheadedness
• Nausea
When receiving joint injections there may be some pain/fullness/discomfort at the site of injection. This is common with all injections therapies and in our experience only lasts a couple minutes. Stretching and going through some physical therapy exercises relieves this nearly 100% of the time. We’ve never had a report of long-term side effects.
What type of conditions can stem cell therapy treat?
Stem cell therapy can treat a growing number of conditions with increasing research into the possible applications for the revolutionary treatment.
The physician determines what conditions can safely be treated and what kind or how much regenerative medicine would be clinically best for each patient. As with all other areas of medicine, we do not guarantee or claim that regenerative medicine/stem cell therapy will cure any disease.
Please note that the FDA has NOT evaluated our specific treatment protocols. The FDA still considers umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell therapy as experimental but has recognized its safety over the years. Our treatments are guided by years of research and clinical experience to determine what will provide the best outcome. Here are some of the most common conditions we’ve treated successfully at Innate Healthcare Institute over the years:
• All types of arthritis (Osteoarthritis has had great success)
• Soft Tissue Conditions: Tendonitis, Bursitis, Ligament Injury (e.g., Achilles, Knee, Rotator Cuff)
